Roll the dice

1 Jul

Fly in my pocket, too skint to be fly,
But I would give in plethora all that I can,
To be by your side, to you I confide,
My treasure box of feelings and emotions,
So what if I lack the wisdom of time,
Or the maturity to accept defeat,
Oh Miss bright eyed power suited city girl,
Fall in love with this brash small town boy,
Let us take a ride in spontaneity,
Laugh hysterically at odd shaped clouds,
Make love on top of haystacks,
Lie back and kiss stars in the nightlight,
Soak up the fresh open country air,
Drape ourselves in warm nostalgia,
Will build a summer home in the hills,
Brave winter in an igloo by the polar caps,
Ride a Gondola under the bridge of sighs,
Set fire to the Northern lights,
Walk down the aisle, along the Nile,
Roll the dice, close your eyes,
Take a chance with a boy like me.
