Not really a suit person, so this is me on one of those rare occasions

This is the part where I tell you non-incriminating stuff about me. This page contains just about enough information for you to get to know me but not enough for you to stalk or hassle me.

My name is Niro Nirmalan and I am a food addict. Apart from my culinary inclination, I am also a web developer, writer/blogger (who isn’t), poet/lyricist, bodybuilder, runner, teacher and my friends would vouch for me being a totally stand-up kinda guy (when they have a gun pointed at their foreheads).

My day job involves me making the web a better place for everyone. I build usable, accessible and elegant websites. I wear the hats of a designer, programmer, information architect, search engine optimiser, accessibility specialist, trainer…. The web and I have had a love affair as long as I can remember, and it has been a big part of my life ever since its inception. As you can imagine, I am hugely passionate about it and am continually learning new things that I will share in my professional blog http://www.nironirmalan.com, once I have gotten around to setting it up properly (he says as he sips on his shaken martini)

I classify myself as a sports and music enthusiast. An enthusiast, not an active participant, because physically performing them myself is a bit out of my skill set. I watch pretty much any kind of sport, but my one true love will always be football and my beloved Chelsea FC. I rarely miss a match and am deluded enough like most Chelsea fans, to believe that I have blue blood running through me. In terms of music, I am into Alternative (Indie) music and am unashamed to admit that a good guitar riff usually sends shudders down my body. I also love lyrics and tend to pen down a few of my own, if anyone is interested in them, just contact me and help make me rich.

So the big question is what is the point of this website? I first created this website back in 2006, when I wanted to test out this new thing they called blogging, and my website evolved from there on and I discovered my love for writing. This is my personal website where I will write about my musings about everything from music, new stories, health, poetry, life, rants, basically whatever I feel like writing about. You may like it or you may not, just like marmite. Either way feel free to comment, feedback positive or negative will both be taken aboard.
